Lajatico

Small village in the heart of Tuscany, known internationally as the birthplace of the well-known tenor Andrea Bocelli.
It is the place where one rediscovers the quietness and serenity that belong to a time long gone… Today every moment is tangled with commitments, needs, passions, etc.-a planned life.
Living in “village” or “castle” in Lajatico means instead rediscovering human relationships, being in close contact with nature and immersed in peace, rediscovering values such as generosity since there is continuous sharing and solidarity among the inhabitants.
True, there may not be the conveniences of big cities, but this lack is more than compensated for by the simplicity of daily living.

Theater of Silence

Natural amphitheater carved out of the beautiful hills of Lajatico where every year it comes alive with art, music, dance with national and international personalities.
It is situated on a hill a mile from the town center; it is a completely natural theater, consisting essentially of a pond, once used by farmers as a watering hole for animals, at the center of which stands a monumental sculpture by a contemporary artist, different for each year, chosen according to the theme of the edition. The whole is surrounded by a backdrop of Tuscan travertine blocks reminiscent of an ancient place of worship or a Neolithic megalith. A small scenic jewel of the Volterra hinterland in the heart of Tuscany.
